About Saskia Seewald Antique Jewelry
Saskia Seewald Antique Jewelry stands for verified unique pieces, expert advice, and a love for jewelry that is more than just a beautiful accessory. Each piece tells a story of a bygone era, of craftsmanship, style, and personality.
Antique jewelry has been part of our family history since 1984. What began in Berlin is now continued on Sylt with the same passion: with experience, care, and a clear eye for originality, quality, and wearable beauty.

Welcome to Sylt!
As a family business, Seewald Antikschmuck has been offering exquisite jewelry of the highest quality since 1984. We are members of the global association Cinoa and the German Art Dealers Association, and have thus been able to establish the company as one of the leading suppliers nationally and internationally.
In our store in Westerland on Sylt and the online shop you will find a selection of exquisite unique pieces, for example from the Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods.
As experts and gemologists, antique and vintage jewelry is a piece of cultural history for us. Mass-produced items and imitations have no place in our range.
We are here for you! Best regards, Saskia Montag-Seewald

From Berlin to Sylt
After many years in Berlin, Saskia Seewald Antique Jewelry is now based in Sylt. The business offers a quiet, personal setting for those looking to discover special pieces of jewelry – far from mass-produced items and fleeting trends.
The goal here isn't to display as much as possible. It's about finding the right pieces: jewelry with character, substance, and charisma.
Whether you are specifically looking for an antique ring, an engagement ring, a brooch, a locket, a necklace, or a special gift – we take the time to answer your questions and provide personalized advice.
Saskia Seewald: Gemologist, Expert, and Lover of Antique Jewelry
Saskia Seewald is a gemologist and expert in antique jewelry, gemstones, pearls, diamonds, and mounted jewelry. Her work combines professional assessment with a trained eye for style, era, craftsmanship, and impact.
Every piece of jewelry is more than just a first impression. Material, gemstones, settings, craftsmanship, condition, and historical classification are carefully considered. This results in a selection that is not random, but consciously curated.
At the same time, advice always remains personal. A piece of jewelry must not only be authentic, valuable, and well-crafted. It should also suit the person who wears it.
Originals, craftsmanship, and genuine unique pieces
Saskia Seewald Antique Jewelry stands for originals, not replicas. The pieces are selected based on their originality, craftsmanship, and unique allure.
Antique jewelry is sustainable because it preserves and carries forward existing values. It is individual because each piece has its own story. And it is personal because it cannot be arbitrarily replaced.
Whether Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Biedermeier, Victorian jewelry, or Vintage jewelry: the decisive factor is not just the era, but the interplay of design, material, craftsmanship, and wearability.
A grown network of trust
Behind Saskia Seewald Antique Jewelry is a network of dealers, experts, and master goldsmiths that has grown over many years. Many of these connections have existed for a long time and are based on trust, experience, and a shared commitment to quality.
Jewellery pieces are carefully inspected, cleaned, and, if necessary, professionally restored or adjusted. Work such as ring size adjustments or other modifications are individually assessed and carried out by experienced master goldsmiths.
In this way, the character of the piece of jewellery is preserved while it is prepared for its new wearer.
Antique jewelry is more than jewelry
An antique piece of jewelry can be a memory, an expression, a gift, a collector's item, or an everyday companion. It can be subtle or make a clear statement. It can accompany a special occasion or simply be worn because it brings joy.
For Saskia Seewald, the special power of antique jewelry lies in its history, its craftsmanship, and its uniqueness. No two pieces are alike. That's precisely what makes antique jewelry so vibrant.
Life is too short to wear boring jewelry – but good jewelry doesn't have to be loud. It must be authentic, well-crafted, and personal.

Three questions
to Saskia Seewald
In addition to the craftsmanship, every piece of jewelry has a story. It comes from a different era and I can let my imagination run wild about what it has experienced and who has worn it. It is my passion to discover jewelry treasures at trade fairs, through private purchases or chance encounters. The idea of sustainability is also becoming increasingly important. Old jewelry is not only beautiful and valuable, but in the truest sense of the word a sustainable investment.
Thanks to my specialist knowledge, I can explain to customers exactly the value, origin and special craftsmanship of each piece of jewelry. This leads to a trusting conversation. And then I always feel how infectious my own enthusiasm for jewelry is. Over the years, I have developed a feeling for what suits my customers. Sometimes there are pieces of jewelry that I almost get the impression have been waiting for that one customer. I often don't even have them on display, but conjure them out of a box. And when I see the sparkle in their eyes, I know I'm right!
Of course, I am also happy to offer online customers personal advice over the phone.
I really enjoy these encounters. First of all, I try to find out the type of woman, her height, hairstyle and her preferences in terms of jewelry. Does she wear earrings, does she love bracelets, etc. It is also important to find out which pieces of jewelry she already has and which she might still be missing. The most personal gift is a ring, as it has a special symbolism associated with it. Once these questions have been answered, the search is narrowed down. Often the men also have an intuitive feeling for what their partners might like. Together we then find the perfect piece of jewelry that suits her exactly.
